Abdominal Surgery

Abdominal surgery deals with the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the organs located in the abdominal cavity, including the stomach, intestines, liver, gallbladder and pancreas. Since the abdomen is the central part of our body and contains many vital organs, it is important to take any changes or pain in this region seriously. A timely examination by an abdominal surgeon can detect potential problems in time, prevent serious complications and maintain the health of the digestive system.

When to visit an abdominal surgeon?

You have frequent or unexplained abdominal pain

The appearance of hernias - protrusions in the navel or groin area

Digestive problems, nausea or bloating

Sudden changes in body weight without a clear reason

Suspected appendicitis, gallbladder or diverticulitis

Presence of growths or subcutaneous changes in the abdominal region

The surgical examination includes a detailed medical history, a clinical examination of the abdominal region, and additional diagnostics as needed (ultrasound, CT, laboratory tests). The goal is to accurately assess the condition of the abdominal organs and plan optimal treatment.

After determining the indications, surgery is planned - emergency or elective, depending on the severity of the condition and the patient's symptoms.

If inflammation or infection is suspected, additional analyzes are performed to determine the cause and targeted treatment.

As part of abdominal surgery in our clinic, you can perform:

Specialist examination by an abdominal surgeon

Treatment of hernias (kilâ) - umbilical, inguinal, postoperative

Gallbladder surgery (cholecystectomy)

Removal of cysts, lipomas and other subcutaneous growths

Minor outpatient surgical procedures under local anesthesia

Postoperative care and nutrition counseling

The health of the abdominal organs is crucial for the overall functioning of the body. Don't delay your examination - contact the professional team of the Matulić Polyclinic with confidence.
