Winner of the Split-Dalmatia County Lifetime Achievement Award in 2024.

He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Zagreb in 1974. After passing the specialist exam in general surgery, he began working at the Department of Vascular Surgery of the Clinic of Surgery, KBC Split. He is one of the pioneers of vascular surgery in the Dalmatian region and successfully led the Clinic of Surgery, KBC Split for several years. His legacy is seen in his educated colleagues in complex vascular surgery, to whom he was always available for help and support.
